This semester I would like to become more proficient in computer technology in general and in working on a PC in particular. I have only used Macs in the past, and although I have used my Macs to make a living in the publishing industry for many years, my experience is mainly with Microsoft Word and QuarkXPress (page-layout software that is now outdated). Of course, I also know how to do simple things such as send e-mails with attachments, create PDF files, upload and download files, and so forth, and I am also on Facebook, but all-in-all I am a technological dinosaur. I realize that all of the schools use PCs, so I need to become comfortable with working on a PC.
